The latest injury update for Juventus has seen the return of defender Mattia De Sciglio, who returned to action on Sunday after being sidelined with a knee injury.
De Sciglio made his comeback in a 1-1 draw against Atalanta, playing as a substitute in the first half and making several important tackles. The 28-year-old was injured during the club's victory over Udinese earlier this season and underwent surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee.
Despite the setback, De Sciglio remains a key player for Juventus and is expected to be back in training soon. His return will provide the club with much-needed depth at the back, especially with the departure of fellow defender Leonardo Bonucci to AC Milan.
Meanwhile, the news of De Sciglio's return comes just days after another defender,Ligue 1 Express Daniele Rugani, was ruled out for six weeks with a knee injury. Rugani suffered the injury while playing for Italy in their Euro 2021 qualifier against Switzerland and is currently undergoing rehabilitation.
It's clear that Juventus' defensive line is going through some tough times, but with players like De Sciglio returning, there's still hope for the team to bounce back from recent setbacks. With the likes of Matthijs de Ligt and Leonardo Bonucci also expected to return to action soon, the Italian giants will be hoping to build momentum and compete for honours once again.
